So it’s pretty common knowledge that I’m part of a chatroom. Princess Ashley gets brought up on a regular basis in there and I really wish she wouldn’t, mostly because I think she is an awful human being and it’s for posts like this:

How is this ok? You prey on men with mental illness? I mean, you fucking STICKIED the tweet. Were you triggered by the person who made the comment? Or do you actually think this is a good way to draw attention to yourself? Are you sure you aren’t mentally ill for bragging about it?
What’s disappointing is that the tweet was liked over 200 times, mostly by dommes. This woman is a ROLE MODEL in the scene! There are even women that LIKED this tweet that have been open about having mental ailments. What the fuck is going on here?
What’s EVEN MORE FUCKED UP is that a lot of guys jacked off to that tweet, judging from the responses. I don’t talk a lot about dudes in the scene, mostly because I think dommes do an impeccable job of documenting how shitty men are, but yes, there are some disturbed men in this scene.
But also, how is taking advantage of mentally ill men admirable? I thought findom/femdom was supposed to be empowering, but instead here is a woman bragging about how she is taking advantage of the most marginalized of society.
If you want to destroy the male patriarchy I think that’s fucking great. But the mentally ill? Taken even further, what about taking advantage of men who have some confusion about their sexual orientation? Or who feel some shame about their race? What is empowering about that?
To me, the answer is that it’s not empowering, because men still control the scene. They are the demand. There are many men out there that are fucked up from years of watching porn and want to see more and more depraved shit and Ashley here is filling a demand. At what point does one say no, though?
About a month ago, there was a much less popular domme that made a very similar tweet about taking advantage of men with mental illness – I can’t find it right now – but instead of being adored and admired, she was actually told this shit isn’t cool by a number of dommes. I believe this domme disappeared from the scene shortly thereafter. Ashley on the other hand, has a lot of clout, most dommes aren’t going to call her out.
I was talking with another domme recently and she said that the main thing that is lost between online and realtime femdom is empathy. I think it’s best illustrated with Ashley’s tweet here. I’d guess that most online only dommes aren’t even familiar with the word “aftercare,” let alone regularly practice it. Most of my Skype/Niteflirt sessions end with the domme abruptly hanging up on me.
One huge misconception in Ashley’s tweet and really society in general, is that if something makes money then it’s okay and it’s removed from any moral considerations. I could walk down the street and grab the money out of a homeless man’s cup, but I’m not because that’d make me a piece of shit and furthermore I don’t need the money and neither does Ashley.
Only in a place like this would a tweet like that be okay and even celebrated.
Findom is fucked up.
